NewLife Behavior International's 50 Volunteer Trainers reach multiple communities for the Lord using the NLB Bible-based lessons. We believe you will be very encouraged to read recent highlights from a few of these incredible disciples whom the Lord is using in His Kingdom!
Through teaching and supplying basic personal hygiene needs in prisons, Stanley Shereni and his team in Zimbabwe have baptized more than 8,000 inmates. He has also provided for the needs of many families of the imprisoned while their loved ones were detained.
Eric Mangesi works with Stanley and together they serve the incarcerated and their families in incredibly diverse ways. They preach, teach and provide counseling in 13 prisons. They supply Bibles to inmates and members of the community who study with them. An NLBI partner provides resources for Stanley and Eric to provide food for 49 children. We are very thankful that they established a new congregation in January 2024 and incredibly humbled that the members walk 6.2 miles to worship.
Many NLBI Trainers have multiple roles, including Emmanuel Essien. As Provost at C.A.O. Essien Bible College in Nigeria, part of his work is to help students learn to share the Gospel. In addition, he preaches at a local church, teaches at newly-established and older congregations, and visits prisons. Victoria Essien, Emmanuel's wife, is involved in NLBI's Women of Worth Worldwide ministry.
Ephraim Phiri is an evangelist, church planter and lead administrator at Eastern Mission Training Center in Zambia. Earlier this year, he taught 2,000 high school students and teachers in eight seminars.
Alex Cheroben focuses much of his ministry on teaching young people, including children, in Kenya. Recently he shared lessons with them about God's loving view of them, attitudes Jesus wants His followers to have, evangelism, biblical characters who walked with Jesus, and how to overcome challenges during adolescence. His wife Esnath also serves as a Trainer.
